Revision of F2974-22 Standard Practice for Auditing Amusement Rides and Devices
Rationale
This ballot is to revise F2974-22 so it can provide more clarification to other applicable ASTMi F24 specialty standards (ex: F2374, F2376, F2959, F2970, etc.), including core standards, which may have one or more of the following areas identified;
o Design
o Manufacturing
o Installation & Commissioning
o Major Modification
o Operation
F2974 section #1.2.3 “Scope” identifies “Reference standards including published year” shall be included within the defined auditing scope. Therefore, the Task Group (TG) was asked to standardize all sections of F2974 so that all ASTMi F24 standards can be used, including core and specialty standards, separately or combined as identified within the defined auditing scope.
Note: Defined Auditing Scope (DAS) dictates which standard(s) to be used and not F2974 section #6 through #10.
