Thermal Effusivity by the Transient Plane Source Method
thermal inertia
Thermal effusivity is a property that has garnered increased interest and is used in several industries (clothing, automotie, flooring, etc.). There is no approved standard for thermal effusivity. The transient plane source method is an absolute method that is used extensively to measure thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity, but it also has the ability to produce thermal effusivity results.
The title and scope are in draft form and are under development within this ASTM Committee.
