New Test Method for Surface Flatness
1. Scope
To create a Test method for the determination of surface flatness primarily for test specimens used in thermophysical Property measurement.

Rationale
in tests that involve heat flow between materials such as that for thermal effusivity, thermal conductivity, the surface characteristics of the test specimen may play an important part. Such test methods often call for a require flatness but there are currently few (if any) test methods for measuring flatness. This method is proposed to address that question.
