As currently written, the Standard Test Method for field determination of water resistance does not require the user to observe or report all visible water on the specimen interior. Water may be present on the glazing interior or on horizontal surface, but the user is not required to observe it or report it unless it breaks the innermost plane of of the specimen. This lack of reporting is in conflict with the expectations of window end users. This revision proposes the addition of observing and reporting all visible water that occurs on the interior of the specimen during testing. This revision does not change the definition of water penetration. This revision does not change the definition of what constitutes failure in the test method.
